Are you between the ages of 17-20 living in the Eugene/Springfield area? Do you have current weight concerns?
The Oregon Research Institute (ORI) is recruiting both men and women aged 17-20 to participate in a paid research study called Project Health. Participants will take part in 6 weeks of group lifestyle coaching or educational videos designed to help build body confidence, and teach skills to develop more control over eating and exercise habits.
Participants assigned to the group condition will have groups scheduled around their availability and will be asked to attend one group a week for six weeks. Participants assigned to the video condition will be asked to watch a series of four videos from home over the course of 6 weeks. In addition to attending groups or watching the educational videos, participants are also asked to complete 5 research assessment visits which are spread out over two years.
If you are eligible and decide to participate as a research participant, you can receive up to $220 for completing assessment visits.
If you’re interested in participating, you can find out more about this study and complete a quick, confidential eligibility screener at www.ProjectHealthORI.com. You can also contact us at 541.484.2123 ext. 2999 or by email at projecthealth @ ori. org.
