Savage Mill, a historic complex of buildings housing restaurants, retail, and office spaces, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate is driven, dependable, and interacts with supervisors, fellow team members, tenants, and guests in a positive and professional manner. Under limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician completes daily work assignments to help ensure a safe and clean environment in and around our historic property. Responsibilities will vary depending upon the needs of the organization and will include but are not limited to: • Perform general building maintenance and repair as well as general assistance and support • Painting • Minor plumbing • Minor electrical • Masonry repair • Carpentry • Minor landscaping and grounds maintenance • Set up and break down for special events • Assist with building renovations and new equipment installations Essential Qualifications • Proven maintenance experience • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices • Ability to recognize maintenance problems and determine corrective actions • Strong organizational and follow up skills • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Basic landscaping experience • Professional presentation and attitude • Ability to maintain focus while working individually • Excellent judgement and decision-making skills • Strong time management skills Please email resumes to [email protected].
