Description
Green season is here! Total Lawn Care Inc. is looking for full time workers. Most of the time (March to October) you will be mowing grass, but often you will run other equipment like aerators, power rakes, rototillers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, etc. We also keep busy in the fall with landscaping projects, leaves, and pruning, and shoveling snow in the winter. Primary green season work is the weekly mowing, edging, weedeating, and blowing of 450 lawns in Moscow and Pullman. You will leave from our shop in a work truck each morning carrying all your equipment and visit about 20 locations per day. You must be able to work with another worker every day, and with others often. You will have to be able to read from our route list and keep track of your start and stop times. You must have a standard driver's license, no insurance restrictions, and reliable transportation to and from work. You must be there every day, and be on time. Please don't apply if you stay home for a cold or a headache, or unmanageable allergies. You must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, all day long and be willing to learn how to safely operate several kinds of outdoor maintenance equipment. I'll provide you with work shirts, work pants, work hat, and a work coat. If you have pesticide, herbicide, fertilizer, or landscape irrigation experience, that would be of great use to us. Expect 40-50 hours per week in April and May, then 40 until July 4th, and then 30-40 after that. In Apr & May, you must be ready to work Saturdays, and very rarely a Sunday, if it rains too much to work during the week. We have 40 hours of work to do each week, sometimes if it is too rainy on Monday and Tuesday, that means you need to work Sat and Sun to make up for it. In August and September we sometimes switch to four 10 hour days, and have 3 day weekends. Start at $15.50 per hour. I need some good people. How valuable you are to TLC decides your pay. There is a 60 to 90 day probationary period (this is to make it easier to get drop people who don't do their jobs). All the primary mowers are new last year, $23,000 worth. I am not the kind of boss that yells, I want you to work hard and I want to provide the tools you need to do your job the best way you can. I am also posting on Indeed, and would like you to go through there so that all the things I need to see are in one place. For an application, email us through Indeed. You can text me to introduce yourself, first/last name, cell # and email address, but don't call or text and only say "give me a call". I talk to the people that work for the job a little. I expect you to get an application filled out, and emailed back. People who understand we're busy and try to save us work are valuable to us. I need you to get stuff done to work here, I don't want guys who are helpless and can't even get an application printed and turned in, or have their girlfriend fill it out for them. Once, I even had a mom try to get her 26 year old son a job. Nope. I don't think you would want to work with other people like that anyway, right? Best way is to go to www.greenshirts.net, and click on the "jobs" tab. Use the email contact on Indeed
