We are a small, passionate and detail oriented construction company seeking a mid level carpenter to join our team. Our work consists primarily of medium to large scale additions and remodels in Seattle and the Eastside. We are looking for a permanent team member to grow and succeed with our company. Common tasks associated with this position include jobsite set-up, light demolition, framing carpentry and finish carpentry. The ideal candidate will have adequate knowledge of common materials used in residential building and a diverse knowledge of tool use. Interest or knowledge in building science, architecture, design, building codes and best practices are a plus. The desire to become a project manager or lead carpenter is encouraged. Qualifications include but are not limited to: - Ability to effectively work without direct supervision - Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction - Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools commonly used in construction - Relevant experience in the carpentry trade or related work - Consistently punctual and ready to work - Must be organized and maintain clean job-sites free of hazards - Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements - Ability to work and communicate effectively with others - Consistently maintain clean and professional appearance - Must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle and up to date insurance - Own basic tools, such as tool belt and hand tools. - Demonstrate proficiency with adapting to building conditions and jobsite problem solving - Desire to engage in detailed work - High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or continued education is desirable but not necessary Please apply with a resume and contact information.
