Looking for a great drummer to complete a fun, energetic old-time country/western swing band. We're primarily interested in someone who plays with brushes on snare, with or without kick drum. The key here is energy and feel - lots of swing and shuffle tunes. Most of the music we play is from 1930-1970, think Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Bob Wills, Roger Miller, Johnny Cash, Ernest Tubb, etc. We currently have about 80 songs and are planning on playing out asap. Age range of current members is 40-55, but we're open to anyone who is interested and enjoyable to be around. We would love to find other musicians such as fiddle and pedal steel, but drumming is our greatest need at the moment.
