I adopted him ten years ago from someone who adopted him when he was “at least six”. He is still hale and hearty. Not handled much, but will step up with encouragement. Will promptly fly off if you don’t hang on to his toes, and will give hard nibbles if you act afraid of him and he thinks it’ll work. He has been tame and has to potential for it again, but it will require work. This is not a kid’s pet or an instant companion. I guess you could use him for breeding but he’s old enough I would question egg viability. He has an odd obsession with toes and toenails so when outside of his cage I recommend keeping him up on a stand/counter/cagetop. He sings his three note versions of happy songs….a lot. LOL Honestly he thinks he’s a great lothario but really he is just kinda annoying. Occasionally he may speak a few “humanese” phrases. Sounds like language but not specific words so he has some speech potential but cockatiels aren’t great speakers in general. I will meet at a convenient local location. Either Keller Walmart, wautaga target, presidio/alliance location, among others.
