Sixth-annual Jason’s Jog, the USATF-certified 5K and 1-mile Fun Run and flag football event to celebrate and honor the life of Jason Owen We are excited to announce the details of the sixth-annual Jason’s Jog, the USATF-certified 5K and 1-mile Fun Run and flag football event to celebrate and honor the life of Jason Owen. This nonprofit event is a celebration of Jason Owen, raising money for various causes that help people he professionally strived to help. This year, all proceeds will benefit the Mission Mid-Del Toy Store. After the run, attendees are encouraged to stay and play flag football, enjoy food from local vendors and participate in fun activities for kids. To date, we’ve provided almost $25,000 to support things like Mid-Del tutoring programs, youth activities, foster care support groups and warm winter coats for area school children. Your event registration and/or sponsorship is a tax-deductible donation to Meadowood Baptist Church, as the proceeds of your donation will go directly to its ministry Mission Mid-Del and its Toy Store. This year, we hope to make this the most successful Jason’s Jog yet, with record donations to the Mid-Del Toy Story. The Toy Store provides Mid-Del families in need with new or nearly new toys for Christmas, and it serves children at many elementary schools in the Mid-Del School System. Families shop for their children during the early part of December to select toys for their children. Through Jason’s Jog, we hope to raise enough money to meet the needs of this year’s Toy Store as well as fund the Toy Store for future years. We hope you can join us for this year's Jason's Jog!
