The GROW Center is partnering with Baltimore Green Space to host a home composting workshop. Trying to recycle your food scraps? Want to start composting at home and not sure where to begin? This Home Composting workshop will give you the knowledge to be a successful composter! The workshop will cover the benefits of compost, the setup and steps to creating successful compost, and how to treat common problems that might arise. The GROW Center is partnering with Baltimore Green Space, an environmental land trust focused on land preservation, research, and community advocacy to promote vibrant neighborhoods and a healthy environment. The workshop will be held at The Harvest Community Garden, located in the Better Waverly neighborhood. Masks will be required for everyone who attends. All participants will get to take home a composting bin courtesy of DPW Bureau of Solid Waste. If you register and are no longer able to attend, please email [email protected].
