We are seeking a knowledgeable, motivated, skilled, and presentable associate to join our team in the residential department by way of tending to shingle (steep slope) repair work orders for new and existing clients. About the position: In this position, the team member would, on an average day, pick up a company vehicle from the warehouse at about six-thirty in the morning (6:30 AM). They would then travel within a one-hundred mile (100 mi), give or take, radius of Boston to residential clients who have contacted us to identify and repair any given issue they could be having with their existing roof. The team member would conduct a thorough inspection of the roof and pin-point any and all issues with the roof, write-up a scope of work to resolve the issue(s), and present that scope of work to the homeowner. Alternatively, the team member would contact the office with the same and someone in the office would contact the homeowner. If any items are needed to complete the work that are not on the truck or in the warehouse (if that particular job is in proximity to it), the team member would be responsible for arranging and picking up the appropriate materials from a supply house which we have an established account with. The team member should conduct themselves in a clean, neat, and professional way—always representing the company and its values to the best of their abilities. We would rather a mistake be made by somebody who made an honest effort with an excellent attitude more so than a job done perfectly, but in a way that would bring embarrassment to the company. Tasks: • Perform a thorough inspection of the roof with pictures and comments. • Identify problems with current roof systems. • Locate sources of any leaks. • Be knowledgeable about the different residential roof systems (asphalt shingle, metal, shingle shake, etc.) • Listen to customer needs and carry them out. • Communicate with the office throughout the day. • Complete and process work order paperwork. • Make suggestions to clients going forward. Work schedule: Monday through Friday, seven o’clock in the morning through approximately two o’clock in the afternoon (7:00 AM – 2:00 PM). Compensation: A range from seventeen to thirty-five dollars per hour ($17.00 - $35.00/ hour) dependent upon experience.
