The GROW Center is partnering with Baltimore Compost Collective and Filbert Street Garden to host an in-person home composting workshop. Trying to recycle your food scraps? Want to start composting at home and not sure where to begin? This Home Composting workshop will give you the knowledge to be a successful composter! The workshop will cover the benefits of compost, the setup and steps to creating successful compost, and how to treat common problems that might arise. The GROW Center is partnering with Baltimore Compost Collective, a youth-empowered food scrap collection service, to teach about the benefits, the setup and steps to creating successful compost and how to treat certain issue that might arise. The workshop will be held at the Filbert Street Garden, located in the Curtis Bay neighborhood in South Baltimore. Masks will be required for everyone who attends. All participants will get to take home a composting bin courtesy of DPW Bureau of Solid Waste. If you register and are no longer able to attend, please email [email protected].
