About MetroLALSA
The Metropolitan Latin American Students Association (MetroLALSA) is a completely student-run organization, consisting of delegates from the following law schools in the New York region: City University of New York School of Law, Seton Hall University School of Law, Pace University School of Law, Brooklyn Law School, Cardozo School of Law, Columbia Law School, Fordham Law School, Hofstra School of Law, New York Law School, New York University School of Law, Touro Law School, St. John’s University School of Law, and Rutgers School of Law-Newark.
Since its establishment in 2010, MetroLALSA has been devoted to unite and empower diversity in the legal community, especially for latino/as. MetroLALSA organizes events and programs to serve the needs of the community, such as participating in voter registration drives, supporting immigration reform and the passage of the Dream Act, conducting Street Law: Know Your Rights presentations, engaging pre-law student at Latino Justice’s Law Day, and partaking in other academic, social justice and networking opportunities.
