Aveline is an incredibly sweet, loveable, soft-spoken torte who turns 4 years old in November. She has an extremely sweet disposition, & loves to stretch out while receiving belly rubs, & telling you all about her day. She's incredibly independent, enjoys lounging & entertaining herself during the days, & playing with our other 2 cats during the evenings. 2.5 years ago, we adopted a puppy. While our hopes were that she would eventually befriend the dog, it seems her demeanor & level of happiness has changed due to the stress of having a dog in the house. She has, sadly, become further withdrawn, is easily frightened, & has recently begun distancing herself from our other cats that do get along with our dog. Our inlaws and their dog recently moved in with us, as well, so this is, very sadly, no longer a positive environment for her. She does not have an aggressive or hostile bone in her body. She is exceptionally sweet, and loves to be loved. She is just, very unfortunately, terrified of dogs. She has been a joy to have as a part of our family the past few years. It is with heavy hearts that we feel her quality of life would be better in a home without other animals (maybe one cat). Please reach out if you are interested in adopting our little Avee. We are located in Ballwin, MO, and ask for fairly local adoptions only. We will ask that those that are serious go through a screening with us, so we can ensure she will be rehomed to a family that can provide her with the life she deserves. Thank you so much.
