Pack It Up Moving is hiring individuals for Driver and general helper positions. General helper positions do not require a drivers license. Individuals with a decent driving record and valid drivers license are great candidates for the driving positions. If you have moving experience working for a prior moving company that is a plus but not required. Please do NOT call if you have any theft or burglary charges. We do full background checks on our employees. Drivers start out at $18/hr. and General Helpers start out at $15/hr. If you have moving experience than these wages are subject to change. Driver/Foreman Job Description • Operate Company vehicles under 26,000 GVW to transport household goods to and from specified destinations • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure the vehicle is working properly • Obey traffic laws and follow traffic and transportation procedures • Prepare and explain bill of lading to the customer. • Delegate tasks to the crew members as well as overseeing their work • Provide outstanding customer service during pickup and delivery operations • Help prepare and pack customers items to prevent damage • Assist with dismantling and re-assembly of items using common hand tools • Load and arrange furniture items in the truck at arrival location • Unload customer items from moving truck at the destination and place them in the location the customer requests • Take Inventory of customers items to inspect for damage and to keep track of customers belongings • Handle customer requests and provide information about concerns • Perform cleaning of the moving truck Note: General Helpers will assist the Driver with Duties in completing the job
