TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating two unrelated homicides that occurred Friday and Saturday.
On Friday at 2:07 p.m., police were called to the 2900 block of North 17th Street for a report of gunshots. When they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
Police said the shooting does not appear to be random.
Then on Saturday at 5:05 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at 1715 N. 50th St. They found a 33-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was also taken to the hospital where he died. Once again, investigators said this does not appear to be a random shooting.
