Press release from the Town of Reading: September 9, 2021 We are seeking your input regarding parking availability/usage in downtown Reading. The Parking Advisory and Recommendation Committee (PARC) was appointed by the Select Board to analyze and make recommendations about parking in Reading and make recommendations to the Parking and Traffic Task Force (PTTF). The PTTF will report back to the Select Board with findings, after which the Select Board will make the final decisions on parking regulations, zones, and enforcement. It is very important for us to receive as much input from the most people. The Town has reached out several times in the past (2008, 2018-19) and has received input primarily from downtown residents and businesses. This survey is another attempt to assess the demand from everyone who shops, dines and parks in downtown Reading. We ask each of you to complete this survey to allow us to assess the demand for parking. We request you answer all survey questions by thinking about your post-pandemic lifestyle.
