Are Americans that stupid?

'Elder would eliminate mask and vaccine requirements for teachers and medical professionals in public schools and medical facilities." If teachers and medical professionals are too stupid to wear a mask and get a vaccine of their own accord without government mandate, then I really don't want them teaching my children or providing me with any medical services. How far does the government control have to go? I'm a fairly rabid conservative and I always wear a mask in public places and I've had the 2 shot vaccine and 1 booster vaccine. I also believe in free choice. I also believe the vaccines work (unless we've been lied to). So as a vaccinated person why do I care if someone doesn't want to get the vaccine? The government tells us the vaccine works so well in that very rare possibility that I get covid while vaccinated, I won't die and it will be highly unlikely I'd be hospitalized. So again, why the government control?
