Good Sunday afternoon Connecticut, Sunday looks great with plenty of sunshine and temperatures around 80 degrees. While we sleep tonight, it looks like there is a chance for strong-to-severe thunderstorms in Connecticut, especially in northern parts of the state. The National Weather Service said in hazardous weather outlook for Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties that "thunderstorms are possible across much of interior southern New England late today into the overnight hours. The greatest threat is damaging wind gusts and locally heavy downpours, which may lead to urban and poor drainage flooding." More strong storms are forecast on Wednesday and Thursday, the weather service added. In southern Connecticut, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and storms overnight and then another slight chance for storms Monday night and again on Tuesday. We start off comfortable this morning, but the humidity will ramp up, especially tonight. Along with the rising dews, a rising chance of showers/storms toward/after midnight. #NBCCT https://t.co/ynQZtisTnu pic.twitter.com/fnZY5FqFKo— Darren Sweeney NBCCT (@DarrenSweeney) September 12, 2021 Some top news headlines across Connecticut on Sunday A body was found in a pond at Bushnell Park in Hartford early Sunday, NBC CT reports.
