Press release from the Borough of Manville: September 12, 2021 Were you or someone you know affected by Hurricane Ida?  The following is a list of housing resources and services that are available to Somerset County residents that were affected.   FEMA-  individuals and business owners who sustained damage losses can begin applying for assistance by registering online at www.disasterassistance.gov  or by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362).  If you are a homeowner, you must file a claim with your insurance company first.  Be sure to keep receipts and take photos of your damaged home and belongings; make a list of damaged or lost items.   211- 24-hour resource and referral line for all basic needs including housing; call 211 or visit www.nj211.org.   Central Jersey Housing Resource Center- affordable housing referrals and housing counseling.  Call 908-446-0036 or visit www.cjhrc.org.    County Board of Social Services- offices in Somerville and Franklin Township.  Call 908-526-8800.   Emergency Housing Voucher Program-  housing voucher for income eligible families.
