Henderson Police are asking the public for information after responding to three incidents of gunfire Tuesday evening. The series of events led to the cancellation of a middle school soccer game.
It wasn't weather or a COVID outbreak that cancelled the South Middle School soccer game but rather concerns over gunshots fired that had officials lock down the area.
No students, staff or parents were harmed.
Around 5:30pm police responded to reports of gunfire on Pringle Avenue. While officers were investigating, they heard more gunshots in the Fernwood Cemetery area. At that time, police apprehended one suspect but at 5:44 a new call reported shots fired on Clay Street.
Henderson Police are asking anyone who has more information on these incidents to call HPD at 270-831-1295.
