Press release from Glen Ellyn Park District: September 11, 2021 Today, the Glen Ellyn Park District remembers those killed and injured on September 11, 2001, their families, and the countless heroes who responded without hesitation that day. The public is welcome to join the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company at its annual memorial service commemorating the events of September 11, 2001. The memorial service will take place today at 6:30 p.m. outside the front of Fire Station 61 at Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The service is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.
