Description

Good Day! Experienced Bass Player with "Light" vocals looking for the "right Band" that I am a fit for. Below is pretty much a list of what I am looking for (I am not a "Prima Donna", it's just that I don't want to waste anyone's time). Not interested in "start ups" or originals (although it doesn't necessarily need to be a "currently gigging" Band, can be a Band that is "almost" ready to gig and needs Bass).Only looking to gig 1 or 2 times a month. I have a job, a family life, and other obligations, so any more than that doesn't work for me. I am open to an "occasional" 3rd gig if it happens, BUT not on a regular basis). Not interested in a Band that rehearses every week as a "social event". If you are gigging and playing the songs regularly, you shouldn't have to rehearse every week after the first month or two once you have everything down and are tight. Rehearsals should be for "arranging" the songs together, not learning them. I ALWAYS show up prepared, I expect everyone else to do the same. "THE MUSIC"....Interested in Rock, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Country (both Modern and Old School), R& B, Disco, "Early Metal" (i.e. Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, OZZY,etc), NOT interested in Death / Hard Core Metal, Rap, or "Modern Crap" with no real "Soul" to it). Logistically, I live in West Babylon, not really looking to travel past Exit 62 East, nor past Bellmore / East Meadow West. What I bring to the Table.... East going personality. Decades of Experience (even some touring in the Past), Serious Music attitude and Background, Excellent Equipment, No "Drama" / Baggage (i.e., Very light drinker / no drugs, and wife is supportive), I can also lend some light Backing vocals / harmonies, and even an occasional Lead Vocal if necessary (and if the song is "right" for my voice...I have no illusions in regards to my vocals). Looking to play music with Nice people who take music seriously, BUT not necessarily themselves (if you know what I mean... as Jim Moran says "there are no stars in Bars"). OK, so if you are still reading this and think I might by some chance be a fit for you, let me know.I can supply audio / video links if we get to that point. Thanks for reading! George
