Description
Hi, I have some very healthy Longevity Spinach plants that cuttings can be taken from (this is how I got mine to begin with). These plants have been very productive in the garden but they are only warm weather plants, so I bring them inside the house before the frost comes but always cut them back before the move inside. I hope some folks will take cuttings. You just put some of the stems in water and they will root. Then put them in a pot of soil in a sunny window. When frosts are done in the spring, plant them in the garden for a summer of harvest. They are amazingly hardy in the heat, considering our harsh summer weather and alkaline soils. I add a few leaves to my salad every day. There are some very beneficial things said about eating this plant if you want to look up the info on the internet. If any of you live in Show Low, I can bring some when I come to town once a week.
