All One One All, a non-profit 14 acre regenerative silvopasture farm in Goshen NY is looking to hire a gardens and market manager. Primary job responsibilities include the production of vegetables, flowers and herbs. Applicants must be able to plan, prep, plant, manage and harvest vegetable, herb, and flower gardens; order-manage-organize equipment and supplies; order and start seeds; produce plants for spring plant sale; manage ‘pick your own’ flower program. Experience as a produce farmer is a must. Good work ethic, organization, dedication and interest in building this project from the ground up are supremely important. This farm has a hospitality component, as in we welcome visitors to the farm in order to educate on productive biodiverse landscapes. Thus, applicants must be interested in agriculture and food education. Additional interest in livestock and silvopasture is preferred. Compensation commensurate with experience, starting pay is $20/hr. Job perks include flexible unpaid leave, meat, and veggies. JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the production of vegetables, flowers, plants and herbs at the farm, this includes: - Plan and build out vegetable, medicinal herb, and flower gardens, prep beds, order-manage-organize equipment and supplies, order and start seeds, produce plants for spring plant sale, ‘pick your own’ programs, plant, manage irrigation, weed, fertilize, manage pests and diseases - Harvest and coordinate harvests with farm stand - Keep records, create and document procedures, manage crop rotation for future seasons. - Build out and set up high tunnel - Plan and maintain the compost system - Build out smaller landscape gardens around farm stand, stable, pond and farmhouse - Create tasks that are appropriate for volunteers, manage those tasks. - Apply and obtain organic and other certifications. - Teach workshops - Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies - Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices - May operate a motor vehicle to transport materials and equipment, as appropriate to the position - May oversee and/or assist with snow removal activities - Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Experience as a produce farmer is a must. We believe this type of agriculture and this work makes healthier and more resilient people and the planet.
