This is an invitation: I'll be holding private conversations with musicians of all stripes here in NYC. I'm interested in listening to your work, what your personal goals are, and what sorts of issues you face both in their work and in your wider life. I'm hoping these conversations will be somewhat therapeutic but I'm not a therapist or a life coach. With that said, you should have the exact same expectations of privacy. (I'll anonymize any accounts of our interactions.) This is a personal endeavor. It's not a service, an art project, fodder for a blog, TED talk or a podcast so it'll be at no cost. I'm just looking to learn from you. About me: I've been a musician for almost three decades. That's included being a professor of sound studies, a recording studio owner, a drummer, composer, keyboardist, DSP engineer and field recordist. Location: You're invited to meet me in Little Italy, or it's possible I could travel to you. I can also meet on zoom. Cost: $free.
