Join the world’s largest volunteer effort for our ocean and waterways by taking part in our International Coastal Cleanup at Riverside Park! The International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) engages people to remove trash from our our oceans and waterways. Over 16 million ICC volunteers have collected more than 340 million pounds of trash. We are honored to take part in this effort and hope you will join us in making our coasts cleaner and healthier! Community volunteer events take place rain or shine. Volunteer projects are dependent on the season and the needs of the park. Closed toe work shoes required. Do not bring additional bags, as there is really no place to store belongings. Directions: Take the #1, #2, or #3 train to 72nd St. Walk south two blocks to 70th St. and turn right. Walk west two blocks to Riverside Drive. Turn left and walk south to 68th St. Walk down the stairs to enter the park. We will be waiting at the bottom of the stairs.
