We are proud to announce our eighth Japanese Pop Up Shop at RESOBOX East Village! Accessories such as earrings, necklaces, and more Japanese-inspired products will be on sale! Japanese artist and Japanese-inspired artists are all welcome to join and promote their works! FACE COVERINGS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED, AS SOCIAL DISTANCING MAY BE DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN THROUGHOUT THE EVENT. FOOD AND BEVERAGES WILL BE SERVED, BUT SHOULD ONLY BE CONSUMED AT THE DESIGNATED SEATING AREA. 【LanceGrace】 I make accessories using Dorset buttons. These are made with threads which came from Dorset, England, from the 17th to 19th centuries. I also combine Dorset buttons with shiny Turkish strings, as well as Japanese hand embroidery threads that are specifically used for a kimono that is unique to the Kyoto region. 【SANA's CHI-KU×2 house(サナズ チクチク ハウス)】 Based in Hokkaido Japan. I create stitched pouches, hats, and other fabric items. Mainly attended events, and sold products at local stores in Hokkaido. Comfortable-feeling, cute fabric items is my theme. 2020 marked my 10 year anniversary, since I started. 【Mizuhiki Twilight / 水引装飾Twilight】 “Mizuhiki” is a traditional Japanese paper string used for celebrations. It is used as a prayer decoration to wish for happiness. Everyday, with the strength of a Japanese heart. These Mizuhiki are made of light material so that it is easy to wear as an accessory. 【macarocaron】 We are creating original and simple designed accessories that give unique accent to your style. Our accessories, made of various materials, are simple “plus one” items uniquely coloring your daily life. 【ナナウミナナミ (nanaumi nanami)】 nanaumi nanami creates beautiful, classy plant themed hand made accessories using wire. “Bringing little happiness to your everyday life” is her motto. She wishes for people to find a happiness by wearing her accessories. 【bana87】 I create my work with different materials like lace, buttons, wires, etc. 【mamecote by Yoko Komura】 Hand-crafted accessories by Japanese illustrator Yoko Komura: “My current line includes resin brooches and fabric bags. Each one of my items are handcrafted and unique.” 【I am DAN】 I create plush accessories of my original character DAN, who is a dropout angel, but wants to be an angel. 【Sand】 I use Japanese silver to create small accessories in the image of animals and plants.. 【AKKANBE (CHIHUAKO taller)/ あっかんべ(アトリエチワコ)】 CHIHUAKO is an art studio with Asami, Sandro, and 2 cats located in Peru. They hold workshops, art classes, pop-up shops and other activities at their studio. At this pop-up shop event, they will present their origami-themed line ”AKKANBE” 【CHIRUHA】 CHIRUHA creates her accessories while thinking about the person who will receive it. This way, all he products are unique and handmade one-of-a-kind creations. 【satokomatsu】 Born and raised in Osaka, she was influenced by her parents, English teacher and Japanese calligraphy teacher. While a university student studying Italian language and culture, Arabic and Hebrew, she went to Florence to study jewelry design. After an 8 year career as a jewelry designer in Japan, she moved to NY in 2013 to hone her designs and skills. In 2015, she started to make her own jewelry. 【Bead Factory Ever Green/ビーズ工房 Ever Green】 Origami accessories (earrings & hair ornaments) you can use for both casual and formal occasions. One of a kind earrings, necklaces, rings with beads, pearls, and gemstones carefully crafted with love. She is a certified professor of “Jewelry Crochet” technique. 【KOKESHI 375】 KOKESHI 375 creates products based on the concept of smile/laughter, which is very important to enrich our lives. Japanese Artist Pop Up Shop is an pop up shop happening every 2 or 3 months in East Village. We started the event to offer opportunities Japanese artists or artists whose works are related to Japan to present their works to the local people in NYC. We have artists who makes hand made accessories ,jewelries, designed apparels, stationary and more.
