Celebrate your community as presenters share ideas, creations, and stories using the PechaKucha format of 20 Images X 20 Seconds. Laugh, learn, and get inspired by a mix of people from Providence as they share their ideas, stories, and creations using the PechaKucha format of 20 images that last 20 seconds each. We are back to LIVE AND IN PERSON! Theme: Truth or DareAs summer draws to a close, we've got a question for you: Truth or Dare? Doors open at 7:20pm and presentations kick off at 8:20pm at The Guild Beer Garden near the Michael Van Leesten Pedestrian Bridge. Parking: Free street parking all around downtown PVD. Seating: The Beer Garden has seating, but you're welcome to bring your own chair. Masks: If you're not feeling well, don't risk it, please stay home. Given the rising cases in Rhode Island we're requesting that you wear a mask when you're in close contact with others. Food and Beverages: A cash bar from Trinity beer garden, a TBD food truck making an appearance. Restrooms: Located within the Bank Newport Center. What is PechaKucha? If you haven't heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, PechaKucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Simply put: it's 6 minutes and 40 seconds of show and tell for grown-ups. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 1,200 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 2009. To the best of our knowledge, Providence is the only chapter in the entire world that hosts a PechaKucha Night every month of the year.
