Awbury Arboretum has teamed up with Let's Go Outdoors to offer FREE, family friendly programming at Awbury's in-progress pond restoration. Awbury Arboretum has teamed up with Let's Go Outdoors to offer FREE, family friendly programming at Awbury's in-progress pond restoration area. You will be greeted by friendly LGO educators who will give you the opportunity to participate in one or all three activities for the day: 1) A fun, easy, craft that you can take home with you, 2) Learn to Geocache (kind of like hide-and-seek where you find items using a GPS device), and/or 3) A nature walk around the pond to learn a little about the wetlands, meadow, trees, and/or other facts about the Wingohocking Creek and our water(ways). NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED - just show up. In the event that it is raining or there is otherwise inclement weather, the program will not be held. BEST PLACE TO PARK: The Washington Lane SEPTA Station on the side with the entrance to Awbury's property (right by the lake) - 823 East Washington Lane, 19138. Struggling with what to do outdoors?  We've got you covered!  With our enthusiastic and diverse guides, provided supplies and equipment, plus beginner level adventures, you can put your worries aside and join us outdoors (or indoors in poor weather)!  We host trips, neighborhood activities, trips, tours of environmental sites, as well as individual and family "adventures." So, get your pack ready (or not, since we've got supplies covered), find your favorite water bottle and select your Let's Go Outdoors activity.
