"Seasoned" Classic Oldies Lead Singer Wanted

Meets

14 Baywalk Dr., Gulf Shores AL

Description

I'm a "seasoned" keyboard player who started my first band in 1960. I've been playing in bands off and on ever since as work, family, and life permitted. I'm retired now, and playing music is not my job, it's my passion. (However, getting paid to do it ain't so bad either.) We moved to Gulf Shores 3 1/2 years ago, and I've been playing solo and with small groups around the local area since then. I sing, but being a lead singer is not my forte. I've always been a background singer. Right now, I'm doing a solo show called "BB's Baby Boomer's Music Show" which is not only the name but also a description of what I do. I play classic rock, blues, country, and soul hits from the last half of the 20th century. (You may remember that's back when music was actually music as compared to whatever that is they call music today!) Ideally, I'm looking for someone who's retired, has a good voice, singing experience, and most importantly lives in the immediate Gulf Shores area. (Distance always causes scheduling issues and living much farther away from GS than Foley would be troublesome. We would rehearse at my home, and I live 5 miles west of GS on Ft. Morgan Road.) If you play an instrument, that would be a bonus, but not necessary. I'm not looking for a steady gig. I'm just happy to get to play a few times a month. I don't smoke, drink very little, and I like to get to bed at a reasonable hour. That means I don't do late-night gigs unless someone is willing to really make it worth my while. If you think you might be interested, call, text, or email me and we'll talk. If you thought your days as a singing star were over, maybe not! Having fun is job 1!
