Come see how VEJ "harvests" the rainwater from its roofs to water its garden. Learn how to set up your own rainwater harvesting system. Two years ago, VEJ received a grant from the Adrian Dominican Sisters to encourage people to practice water sustainability. VEJ is using those funds to install a new rain harvesting system at Hope House & Garden. That system will capture rain from the roofs of two buildings and store it to irrigate the neighborhood garden. At this Sunday Dinner, you'll enjoy local vegan food while watching a demonstration of the new rain harvesting system. You'll have a chance to ask questions about how to set up your own rain harvesting system at home. Prayer, education, and action for Earth.
