Press release from The Woodlands Township: August 31, 2021 THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (August 31, 2021) – The Woodlands Township is hosting a one-day drive-through event for electronics and document shredding on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center (6535 Creekside Forest Drive). Electronics recycling is offered by appointment only. Those without an appointment will not be accepted. Due to limited capacity, residents are encouraged to register early through The Woodlands Township Environmental Services website. Fees apply; cash or check only. Please see fee schedule below. This event is held in partnership with Harris County Precinct 4 and is for residents of The Woodlands only; please, no businesses. Proof of residence in The Woodlands is required for this event (driver's license, water bill or other document with a Woodlands address). Please note, Precinct 3 Recycling Facility offers year-round electronics recycling to residents of Montgomery County for the same fees as this event. There is no limit on number of items accepted. Please consider this an option to save event space for Harris County residents who do not have access to the Precinct 3 facility. Secure, on-site document shredding is available for $5 per file box (or equivalent quantity). Appointment is not required, capacity is limited. If you are unable to attend, another opportunity for document shredding will be available on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the 3R Recycling Drive-Through event. UPS and FedEx stores also offer secure document shredding services year-round.
