Sept. 10, 2021
The Greater Baltimore History Alliance announced today the election of new leadership to guide the organization for the foreseeable future. Shawn M. Herne, Executive Director of the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum, along with Margot Kopera (The Maryland Center for History and Culture), Enrica Jang (Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum) and Nathan Dennies (Baltimore Architectural Foundation) will serve as President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary of the consortium.
They will be joined by new board members Diana Bailey (Maryland Women's Heritage Center), Molly Ricks (Baltimore Heritage, Inc.) Kris Hoellen (The B&O Railroad Museum) and Aaron Lippincot (The Fire Museum of Maryland) as well as six other board members.
"I am honored to be joining such a distinguished group of professionals. Baltimore has a rich history that is being preserved by some of the finest institutions and organizations in the country. The Covid-19 pandemic has put a tremendous strain on many of these organizations but I believe the GBHA can provide opportunities for collaboration and innovation. I look forward to seeing what new and creative programs our museums and landmarks can create" said Herne.
