SANTA MONICA, CA — An ocean water use warning was extended Friday in Santa Monica and lifted at other local beaches, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health officials announced.
As of Friday, people are still urged to be careful before playing or swimming in the ocean near the Santa Monica Pier.
"The warning has been issued due to bacterial levels exceeding health standards when last tested," public health officials said.
Ocean water use warnings were lifted Friday for these beaches:
Redondo Beach at Sapphire StreetInner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro Mother's Beach in Marina Del Rey Patch reached out to public health officials for additional information about the ongoing water use warnings.
