Public Input Sought In Glendora Redistricting Plan

GLENDORA, CA — The Glendora City Council is seeking the public's input as it redraws its district boundaries using data from the 2020 federal census. Residents will have a chance to provide their thoughts on what kind of considerations the city should make when drawing up its new boundaries. These could include school attendance areas, major roadways or neighborhood landmarks, according to a staff report. The City Council will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. The meeting will be available to stream on Glendora's website. The city last updated its district boundaries in October 2017 using data from the 2010 census. However, state election laws require cities to use the most recent census data for their boundaries once it becomes available. But, it won't be until late-September or early-October until Glendora officials will receive the 2020 census data.
