Your puppy learns a lot about the world around them and how to behave in the world, especially during the critical socialization period. This period is from about 3 weeks to 16 weeks of age. Puppy socialization is not just about playing with other pups or meeting new people, it is also about ignoring them! For dogs living in Manhattan a very important part of socialization is experiencing the sights, sounds, and smells of the city without overreacting or becoming too excited. At Tara's School for Dogs, we can help you make the most of this period in your puppy's life.
