DETROIT — A gunman who barricaded himself in a Southwest Detroit duplex after firing multiple shots surrendered to Detroit Police on Friday afternoon, WWJ reported.
According to WWJ, the suspect is 30-35 years-old and locked himself in the attic after firing about five shots from the upstairs unit of the duplex on Green Street near I-75, while a family with three small children was asleep in the downstairs unit Thursday night.
The suspect finally surrendered after more than 12 hours, police said.

Police said no injuries have been reported.
