Looking for a new home for your dog? We might be the right family. We are looking to adopt another dog in our family. Its been kind of tough to find one that will fit in though because we have a lot of caveats. If you might be looking to rehome your dog or know someone who is please read on. We currently have two 65 lb Pits and an 85 lb Great Pyrenees border collie mix. The Pits are mother and daughter. Both are a little hyper but mom is getting older and is having trouble keeping up with her 3yr old daughter. They play very aggressively with each other when they play though which might scare some dogs. The third dog is very passive and submissive to the 2 pits. In addition, we have 5 indoor cats and we have chickens that free range in our fenced in back yard. Everyone gets along though. We kind of have a zoo, but in spite of that we'd really like to add another dog who can keep up with the younger pit's energy. We are looking for a younger dog or older puppy either already in the 60-100 lb range or who will grow to that range. They have to be able to tolerate rough play from the Pits. On top of that it has to be cat and chicken friendly enough to not attempt to eat them on site. We know that's a tall order to ask for. What we have to offer your dog is a very loving and pet friendly home. We don't have children. We have a large 6' chain link fenced in yard around 3/4 of our house so our animals have plenty of room to run. We both work from home permanently so we are always around the house and the dog would always get plenty of attention. We are very diligent about maintaining our pets health and they all get regular vet care. Even the chickens go to the vet if they get sick.
