Description

Custom furniture manufacturing shop needs help with maintenance, millwork, parts prep, and installs/deliveries. Opportunity to learn more advanced woodworking skills and be paid higher wage as demonstrable skillset expands. compensation: $15-$20 DOE. Paid holidays after 60 days. employment type: --full-time. M-F day shift. Typically 8am-430pm with 2-3 days per month 7am-530pm. --part-time applicants will only be considered if they are able to work a full 8 hour day less than 5 days per week (no weekends available) and have verifiable professional woodworking experience. MUST HAVE: - Comfortable with fast paced environment - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Able to follow instructions - Demonstrable ability to operate basic woodworking tools like a miter saw in a safe manner - Ability to read and write English - Stable work history - Positive attitude and willing to learn quickly - Reasonable transportation plan to arrive to work on time - Meet goals and deadlines DESIREABLE ADDITIONAL SKILLS - Knowledge of common wood types - Experience with common tools used in a wood shop: planer, miter saw, bandsaw, jointer, table or panel saw - Able to accurately read a tape measure and make cuts to 1/32" - Ability to safely operate table saw (preferably sliding saw), miter saw, bandsaw, planer and jointer with 1/32" accuracy - Experience assembling cabinetry or furniture. - Experience installing cabinet doors and drawers. - Experience applying furniture finishes with spray equipment.
