A church located in Niles is looking for one or two staff who are able to perform a variety of janitorial tasks. If you also have the ability to perform minor handy man projects such as installing shelves, patching walls, painting, plumbing repair, etc. it would be a bonus, but our primary concern is the cleaning and upkeep of our facilities, including the church, office, restrooms, community center, commercial kitchen, basketball court, and classrooms. Daily tasks will include: - General cleaning of all the facilities, including dusting, mopping, cleaning windows, vacuuming, emptying garbage cans, etc. - Setting up tables and chairs for our various events - Ensuring that all soap dispensers, toilet paper holders, and towel holders are filled - Accepting deliveries and moving items around - Snow removal during the winter months You must be able to speak English reasonably well and be willing to submit to a background screening. Due to a variety of hours that we need coverage, we may need two people to meet our needs.
