I have a male Mojave banana ball python up for rehome. He is a great snake, and definitely a beautiful one. He eats live. I usually get him jumbo mice or small rats every other week. He will only eat at night though. During the day he stays in his hide and at night is when he comes out looking around. He is as calm as you can expect a snake to be. He DOESNT bite. Never has in his entire almost 2 years of life (birthday in October) He does fine with kids. And does great when being handled. He does not like to be bothered too much during the day. He sleeps all day. So he MIGHT hiss at you if you take his hide off him. It’s very rare. He’s only ever hissed at me 3 times. He does it when he gets annoyed. And never struck or bit either. He IS HEAD SHY! He won’t hiss at you or strike at you but being a ball python they are notorious for being head shy. He will quickly pull his head back and maybe hide it. He does sometimes have a hard time shedding. He went through shed just recently and he still has some he’s trying to get off but he’s lazy during the day and sleeps. He always gets it off though. He doesn’t like the lamps so we substituted for under pad heating and he comes with his enclosure the pads that are already stuck to the bottom for you (they’re removable but they have adhesive to stay on until you remove it) he also comes with the heating pad thermostat. He has his hide, his big water bowl and there are 4 enclosure locks for his enclosure to make sure he doesn’t get out and no one can get in unless they’re removed. He is a great snake. Just one that sleeps during the day lol. He handles great! He goes on rides with me at least once a week and he does great on car rides as well.
