Fruit and Flower Child Development Center Helping working parents raise generations of joyful learners Fruit and Flower is looking for a part-time Facilities Manager to provide general oversight of the building located in NW Portland. The center is open Monday – Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm and serves 140 children daily. General duties include: Room refresh (patch, paint and replace blinds, etc.) Power washing Assembling furniture, building flower boxes, fence repair and other small projects Trouble shooting building operations Securing and moving cabinets Painting Landscape maintenance General building maintenance and clean-up Participate in creating a long term maintenance plan The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded expertise in building maintenance and enjoy working around small children. Added bonus, a sense of humor and joyful persona. Part-time, 20 hours per week. Occasional weekends maybe required. Must have: Physical stamina to perform the job duties, ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to communicate, work with the staff and understand what projects need to be done Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry (CBR) Knowledge of basic handy person skills and safety protocols Vaild drivers license COVID-19 vaccination Benefits: Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
