I am a STEM educator offering a fall science discovery camp for up to four keiki. This class will held in a covered, open air setting in Hawaii Kai, October 11th-15th, from 8:30am-12:30pm. Great for ages 5-8. Email or Text to reserve your spot.
Each day will have a lesson, a hands-on activity, a game, and an engineering design challenge. Participants will go home each day with a shoebox of their creations. $300/child
Camp Schedule:
Monday - Unplugged Robots & Coding: Keiki will get to build and decorate their own friendly robot buddy, create a robot rabbit with a customizable track to run along, and learn how to write programs to solve puzzles to guide their robot through a maze.
Tuesday - Oil & Water Chemistry: I will teach your keiki how to build their own fabulous chemistry lab, and conduct a series of hands-on, colorful oil-and-water experiments and art.
Wednesday - Biology Lab: We'll make colorful frogs, see the concepts of potential and kinetic energy in action with leaping lily pads, and conduct a density experiment with an aquarium of floating fish.
Thursday - Vet Exploration: We'll explore various animal anatomy by assembling organ and muscle systems, play a "find the fracture" game using an x-ray lightbox and a set of animal cards, and learn about bees and be behavior (no live bees).
