The Afrobeats Party - Seattle is a weekly event celebrating music making waves from the African continent and its diaspora. About the Organizer DJ NAYIRAM Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, Seattle-based selector Solomon Nutakor aka DJ Nayiram’s journey as a professional DJ kicked off in 2013 with his unique blends of a myriad of Afro Caribbean sounds with rhythms reminiscent of his Ghanaian roots. His sets also cover the Global scene, R&B and HipHop; drawing links and lines between cultures, fusing the familiar with unfamiliar, the popular with underground. For Nayiram, music surpasses genres. He’s played in 5 continents for hundreds of thousands at concerts, festivals & his own headlined world tours. His radio experience as a mixer and on-air personality helped him launch his popular Midweek Motivation mixshow on Soundcloud that reached 1 million plays. More recently, he collaborated with EDM hitmakers Major Lazer for two popular Afrobeat mixtapes Africa Is The Future & Africa Now that landed him two radio shows on Grammy Award Winner Diplo’s channel on Sirius XM. Focus is also the creator of Atlanta’s first multi-cultural music festival Passport Experience (PXP Fest) that showcases the best of different genres including but not limited to Afrobeat, Soca, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Reggaeton, EDM. He owns & produces PXP Fest with business partners Akon & Chaka Zulu, co-founder of DTP Records; PXP has also been successfully showcased in SXSW, Los Angeles, New York & now has a monthly residency in Las Vegas at the Chateau rooftop inside Paris Casino.
