Open interviews for Direct Support Professionals! We offer paid training and a sign-on bonus! $500.00 sign-on bonus! Life-Changing Work. Come join us. Come work at the beach! We have openings at our Oceanfront locations in Virginia Beach and 3 teams near the Chesapeake Bay in Norfolk. You create your own schedule. Some of the shifts to choose from are: 7a-2p, 8a-1p, 9a-2p 3p-9p and 4p-9p weekdays and weekends. We also have a few 8a-4p open on Friday and Saturdays. Hope House provides paid orientation and training for all new employees. A rewarding, challenging, and fun job! We provide over 50 hours of classroom training for this position. The primary duties are to provide support with daily living tasks such as preparing meals, apartment cleaning assistance, grocery shopping, laundry, daily personal care assistance/hygiene, medication management, accompanying to doctor’s appointments, and ongoing fun activities ( concerts, sports games, festivals). Qualifications Willing to attend a Red Cross First Aid training that we pay you to attend Willing to attend a Medication Management training that we pay you to attend Want to learn and grow professionally Ability to carry out the physical requirements of this position which include but are not limited to: lifting up to 50 pounds several times per shift as needed, ascending and descending stairs several times per shift, pushing and pulling wheelchairs and sitting, standing, and walking for periods of time throughout a shift as needed. Must have valid Driver’s License. Must have reliable transportation during work hours. Must have a satisfactory criminal history check.
