Join us for our first installment of the New England Six-Pack Hiking Series! This hike will be led by two of our professional hiking guides and will consist of a moderate 5.3-mile loop, hitting two peaks with 1,341 vertical feet of ascent. Our pace will be between 2 and 3 mph with multiple recovery stops. This event will take about 3 hours. We suggest hikers with some experience as this hike is moderate in difficulty and contains two scrambling sections. All proceeds from this event go toward helping those living with a mental illness. This event is free to members of the Omnium Outdoors Adventure Club. This event is pre-registration only. Start time is 9:00am on Sunday, October 10th 2021. Check-in will be open from 8:20-8:55am, located right beside the large park map at the edge of the parking lot. Please bring your own food and water for the day along with proper footwear and clothing for the weather. Omnium Outdoors will be providing the service of guiding our hikers through the loop as well as any assistance a hiker may need including first aid, technical questions, or even motivation. Sleeping Giant State Park in Connecticut requires a $15 fee to park for any out-of-state vehicles. The park is open daily from 8am to sunset. We do advise that you bring your own food and water for during the event, but the restaurant we recommend for after the hike is MiKro Depot, a gastropub located at Zero Depot Ave, Hamden, CT 06518.
