Join us for the opening weekend of Sounding Boards Garden as we celebrate the Chicago Architecture Biennial! Eastlake Studio, Sounding Boards, and Redmond have designed, fundraised & built this multi-purpose community space for North Lawndale and Harmony Community Church in a matter of only four short months and it's time to celebrate the opening weekend! This weekend is the opening of the Chicago Architecture Biennial and North Lawndale will be featuring multiple sites that have utilized vacant lots for the community. We have moved out of storage and back into public view, murals commissioned by Sounding Boards during the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020 and this garden will be their permanent home for years to come!
