The Glasses for Good 5K Race is presented by the UNC Ophthalmology Interest Group & the UNC Office of Interprofessional Education & Practice Date: October 16th Location: UNC Finley Fields (100 Mason Farm Rd Chapel Hill, NC) - the 1K gravel loop around the UNC track. Parking available at the complex. Times: Check-in will begin at 7:30am; the race will start at 8:30am. Award ceremony to follow the race. Benefitting: "Eyeglasses for Children in Need" a specific fund within the UNC Health Foundation that finances glasses for kids and families who cannot afford them Event Entry: No strict amount, but a minimum $4 donation is strongly recommended! But the more the merrier, as this helps more kids see! Moreover, we are encouraging friendly ~interdisciplinary~ competition to see which school raises the most money and races the best, so be sure to mention that on your registration (e.g. put in "School of Medicine" or "School of Dentistry" when you sign up) If you have any other questions, comments, suggestions, or life advice, please do not hesitate to contact us!
