BLADESMITHING 102: Fork and Knife - Holiday Carver Set BLADESMITHING 102: Fork and Knife - Holiday Carver SetThis 12 hour workshop will build on your 101 experience by introducing more basic and intermediate bladesmithing techniques. You will experience a very active class with an emphasis on hands on learning with hammer, heat, and iron.  Participants will forge, grind, and harden a blade from 5160 steel on day one, and conclude the day by adding a wooden handle. On day two, everyone will learn to twist, bend, scroll, taper, and split hot metal while forging a custom BBQ fork with a matching wooden handle! Everyone should leave the class with a great deal of knowledge and a new knife and fork set ready to use for the holidays. Propane forges will be used. Some previous forging experience required.
