Support local campaigns by southeast side residents.      Your investment will help residents and activists work for positive community change, from our work developing & engaging youth leaders to supporting increased access to Covid-19 resources (masks, hand sanitizer, & more) and vaccines to ensuring developments- like Invest South/West & the CTA Assembly plant - benefits local residents via employment and training opportunities, access to affordable housing, and environmental protections and sustainability. You will help bring about improvements for our neighborhood and opportunities for residents. Now 11 years old, ASE is a group of community residents and leaders, youth, organizations, schools, and businesses, who have come together to define and address community problems as they see them. We envision a powerful grassroots base that impacts decision makers and wins real improvements in our neighborhoods.      Whether we’re ending youth violence, creating local jobs, reducing recidivism, or advocating for racial, economic, or environmental justice- our voices are stronger together! ASE carries out this mission by: Building a strong alliance of active faith-based institutions, community organizations, schools, businesses, and individuals Hosting listening sessions to ensure that issues of concern to constituents are campaigns that are prioritized Establishing the leadership skills necessary for members to take power for themselves\ Giving members the tools and support necessary to win projects that they build and lead from start to finish Partnering with organizations in other regions and participating in city-wide events that are relevant to our cause
