After 16 days on the job and a series of what she called "extraordinary challenges," Gov. Kathy Hochul now has a partner and running mate in new Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin.
CBS2's Marcia Kramer said she has never seen an elected official face so many tough decisions and unanticipated crises in such a short period of time. Not only did Hochul have to jump into Andrew Cuomo's shoes after he was driven from office, but she also faced a rent crisis, a Metropolitan Transportation Authority service meltdown, and the ravages of the remnants of Hurricane Ida.
Now, she's got a partner to shoulder some of the burden.
